I bought a Lakewood scatter shield. So the bell housing issue is solved but water cooled headers or anything anybody may have for a Windsor block ford I might be interested in. P.M. or post whatever suits you.

Sorry bald man but being a die hard blue oval fan I can't get over the fact that there is a bowtie in the engine compartment. It has a ZZ4 which has very few hrs and will be for sale once the 408 is done and put in.

Don't want to start a battle but I can't get over how many Chev powered boats there are.

Don't worry the scatter shield is going to go on a diet before it goes in. It is just the only thing I could find that would work. It seams that anybody with Ford parts doesn't want to sell them. That just leads me to believe that blue oval is the way to go.

Hey Mark,
There is someone selling a 351 C in the Red Deer Agrivate today. Might have somethings that you need.

Thanks for keeping your eyes open for me Baldy. But I have the motor and know what parts I have to buy to complete it. Its the boat pieces I need. Like water cooled headers, the kit to run river water through the block (what ever its called). motor mounts and probably a lot of things I don't even know I need yet.

Any input would be appreciated. Except for the Chev guys telling me to leave the ZZ4 in. That's only a short term option.

So I'm asking the FORD guys to help me cure the virus in my boat.

If I end up having to buy new headers. What are the best value when it comes to headers. I plan on keeping the lid on the engine bay so water cooled would probably be a good thing.

I found a redline bell-housing with hole for top mount starter and pump coupling on e-bay. So I'll scratch the scatter shield idea.

Still looking for headers and such.

Who do I talk to about building a motor for boat application. I have got so many opinions from so many sources that its mind boggling.

Right now the plan is to build a 408 Windsor with an Eagle Competition Rotating assembly + victor Jr heads, I know this leaves alot of gray area, but this is were I plan to start.

Any info or names of who to talk to would be helpful.

Even if somebody could tell me what parts not to use. Such as my original supercharger idea that got squished from others experience.

Ya Ya I know don't use a Ford.

But any use full info would be great.

If you want good information about ford motors in marine applications, try to get ahold of Russel or Spencer King. Try them at Kingland Ford in Hay River NWT. Dont know the number but if you go to "links" on this site you will find it. They should be able to point you in the right direction being has they've won numerous world jet boat racing titles using ford motors.
