In this sport as well as all others, one cannot have a rule for everything that possibly will happen, the rule book would be huge and no one can anticipate every possible scenario that will take place during the course of an event such as the Worlds, so, there should be a common sense clause/rule somewhere in the book, (maybe there is) where common sense shall prevail where black and white rules do not apply, but I agree, the four main competing nations should be governed by the same set of rules, |
Yup, I know what your saying Karey but there are a lot of things that happen every time there is a World race and someone gets an infraction and feel it should not have happened.
You racers know what the majority of things should be written in stone. You've had experience for years with things that could go wrong. I realize you can't capture them all in a rule book BUT something would be better than the half assed rules that are going now. "The UIM does not allow this or recognize that". "We're not sure if that is allowed according to UIM"
I say dump UIM and make a set of rules and regs that apply to the Worlds Jet Boat Marathon. _________________ Life is Great. It's Reality that Sucks! |
