Is there anyone down there that will send us photos and updates.
I know it's tough to do at times, but get over all that and lets see some boat shots, testing shots, people shots etc etc.

I got a voice message from Pepe; Tim H, Spencer K, Dale W.
Looks like Chad & Willy Burns and Alix Robinson are doing good too.
The NZ site that Gary has posted has some great photos.
Thanks.

I was at the races on Sunday and it was pretty cool to see some of the big name racers in person. I had a chance to meet Robert Thompson in 2004 and he is the old kiwi I remember. Great to see him again and listen to his stories. Unfortunately it was at Cougar lane, a little camp spot and restaurant about 25 miles up river. Where his motor decided to pull over for a beer but Robert said it was because the young ladies on the shore were giving him a show. He said he would be ready to race my Monday.
I was surprised at the lower number of boats that showed up to race but with the economy being the way it is I can understand.
The river is full of water and has flattened out a lot of the big water but is causing a lot of sneaker waves. I figure the river speed must be about 6 to 7 mph. The water is colored and rising as there is still a lot of snow in the hills. The Temperature on Sunday was about 70 at Gold Beach and 32 miles up river it was close to 100, so this was probably playing with some of the motors.
Well Tim Harding's boat is everything it was said to be so far, what a monster. This boat is so fast and so quiet that it's by you before you even know it. I had a chance to talk with Tim and he said it runs at 26,000 rpm's he is running it at about 92% which he says it equal to 124mph. Rumor has it that the boat has seen 137mph.
Spencer King is running in full fashion but looked to be a little cautious on the first day so I don't think we've seen what left in hand yet.
I do have some video so if I can figure out how to get it on here I will.
One other thing, the guys driving the sport jet have some balls. They never seem to let off for anything.
Well until they get to Grants Pass that's about all I got.

All the info here. They have a real good system.
Sounds like Tim Harding's boat is RIPPING.
Good luck, Whitey. Keep that ole Pontiac running and full of oil.

Spoke with Dale briefly with some latest news.
Whitey is out of the overall after losing a leg to a bad starter. The big Pontiac is still running ok but they can only contend for U class honors now
Tim Harding is still running strong but blew a nozzle on one leg and Spencer gained on him. Apparently cutting his lead down to the high 3 minute mark, down from 5 something.
Spencer still in second.
I didn't get much more info other than Robert Thompson again had some bad luck and sunk his boat sometime today. I don't think it had yet been found either from what Dale said.
Hopefully someone down there can post more info on what else all happened today.
Cheers

Hey everyone, it's been a hell of a race down here. Rumor has it that Robert Thompson retrieved his boat yesterday. He had some shit luck on this race for sure. Whitey is running strong but for those starter problems. Whitey and Bad Habit are still in the hunt for the championship and Tim's turbine boat is holding 1st place strong.
We've got a day off today and we've finally got a decent internet connection so I'll hopefully be able to post more info tomorrow. I'll have the official results hopefully by the end of today and I'll let you know.
