No 200 is completly unrealistic 145 appossibility 150 may be some day but would reguire more HP and more intake development.

I was thinking 200 is a far stretch. 140mph is plenty and you know people will be shooting for 150ish.

Look at it this way, when freestyle motocross come out everyone thought the tricks would always be with the rubber side down and the fad would die out. 5+ yrs ago Carey Hart did a backflip and blew everyone away....now they are doing backflip variations, double backs, front flips, variables and it just keeps progressing.

I feel that we are heading that way in racing too. A larger pump and intake are not out of the question in the near future. And there is always more HP out there somewhere. Just as long as the saftey side of things can keep up!

We do not need a larger pump the we have now can absorb more than 5000 HP. The main problem with river racers is that we need to run a rock grate and they become very difficult to load at high speeds. As well Drag boats with ram loaders and deep shoes do not have to worry about handling or decel things which are critical in our sport.

Every one has an opinion , here is mine , everyone can talk all they want but the only way to prove anything is , build it , bring it , prove it , brag about it , I think new ideas and progress comes from pushing the limits , It wasnt so long ago that everyone thought 120 -125mph was insain well look at the speeds now !!

If I am not mistaken in 1975 Jim Martin drove the unlimited boat of the time to 80 mph at peace river. It was on the cfrn news. I'll say we have come a long way.

watched the yellow streak a few days back running on the peace..very fast and stealthy, not a loud roar to this baby,by the time i heard it going down stream,i went to look and it already went around the bridge and was past me heading up stream.and covering ground fast....2011 going to be a whole new kind of boat racing..

This bs has ruined a good thread about the now potentially fastest riverboat in the world.
I remember watching the races in Hay 30 years ago and we thought 90mph was fast and it is. Then in 04-05 we started to see 110-115mph but is anything over 150mph really possible without a sterndrive ?

Good point nj....that's why you will notice the bs is now on the top shelf of the DUMBGEON. If any one is looking to start shit, do it else where and DONT ruin a sweet thread about this yellow rocket. I suggest hellsgate start his own thread for his pipe dreams!

Ya no worries Adam. I have a pretty good idea who this drama queen is along with another username or two. Just doing some house cleaning and quality control.

Wow those are some pretty serious speeds. Congrats guys!! looking forward to some video or pics. Are these standard tunnels or have the bottoms been modified for the higher speeds??

I believe they are the standard design stretch out to a 23 footer.

Took the 21' and stretched it 16" in the cockpit and 8" in the deck.
